It is my great pleasure to announce that an International Symposium on Sonochemistry and Sonoprocessing, 2007 (ISSS2007) will be held in Kyoto, Japan in December 2007.

Sonochemistry is now well recognized for its use of ultrasound to effect chemical reactions. The field contains not only a variety of new and interesting scientific discoveries, but also fascinating possibilities of applications to industry and/or medicine responding social demands such as solution to energy problem, green chemistry, green processing, nanotechnology, medical applications, etc. The scientific program will be dedicated to the advances in fundamental and applied domains of sonochemistry and sonoprocessing to give a current overview and determine future perspectives in the field.

The symposium will be composed of plenary and invited lectures, together with contributed oral communications. These will be supplemented by poster presentations and an exhibition of ultrasonic instrumentation. We hope many people from all over the world who have an interest in the research of sonochemistry and sonoprocessing will participate in ISSS2007.

The Organizing Committee for the ISSS2007 cordially invites all persons interested in the various aspects of ultrasound chemistry to attend this symposium.
